Pengiran Izam Ryan PLKDR Pengiran Bahrin (ACA) (CPA)
Pengiran Izam is currently working in the Assurance and Advisory service line of Deloitte & Touche LLP, Singapore. As a Manager in the Global Financial Services Industry group (GFSI), Izam is involved in delivering valued professional services to clients in the banking, insurance and securities industry.
Previously, Pengiran was the Head of Corporate Services at BAG Networks Sdn Bhd (Brunei Accenture Group) a market leading IT consulting and outsourcing services provider in Brunei. Prior to that, Pengiran worked for the Authority for Info-Communications Technology Industry (AITI), a government statutory body where he was involved in competition regulation, international relations and industry development initiatives.
Pengiran worked and qualified with PricewaterhouseCoopers UK (PwC). He is the first Brunei-Malay to be admitted as an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). He is also an Associate member of the Brunei Darussalam Institute of Certified Public Accountants (BICPA). Pengiran graduated with Honours in Accounting from the University of Manchester.
Pengiran has been described by some as a “technocrat”. An Open Source Software (OSS) hobbyist, he enjoys the process of understanding, installing and deploying OSS as a way to enhance his understanding of technology trends.
Pengiran is an advocate for best practices in corporate governance and business management. He regularly blogs about technology and business trends on his personal weblog “Relevance Found”.
When not in front of the computer, Pengiran can be found hanging out with his wife and kids, working out, swimming or generally just enjoying the outdoors.
